Producer Price Index Fell 0.1% in November

The Producer Price Index for finished goods edged down 0.1% in November, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports. Prices for finished goods decreased 0.2% in October and 0.1% in September. At the earlier stages of processing, prices received by manufacturers of intermediate goods declined 0.5%, and the crude goods index fell 2.6%. On an unadjusted basis, prices for finished goods advanced 0.7% for the 12 months ended November 2013.
