Flowserve Playing Major Role in Making Snow at Sochi Olympics

Flowserve Corporation announced that its products will play a vital role in the snow-making efforts at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

Flowserve began integrating its products into snow-making systems in the early 1980s. Partnering with Torrent Engineering & Equipment, LLC, and having an installed customer base at more than 500 ski resorts across the globe, Flowserve has a big responsibility in the system that will provide snow at the ski venues during the games.

“I’m confident that our products will exceed expectations for the Olympic ski events,” said Mark Blinn, Flowserve President and CEO. “We have a legacy of more than 200 years of flow control product development and have participated in hundreds of snow-making systems across the globe. I’m proud to know that our products will play a vital role in the overall experience for the athletes at the upcoming winter games.”
