AUMA Actuators. Inc. has announced that Matthew Thiel joined the company at its Canonsburg, PA headquarters in February as an executive vice president reporting to president, Sam Bennardo. In his new position Thiel will be responsible for AUMA’s North American sales, service and marketing functions.
“Because of his extensive experience and skills,” said Bennardo, “Matthew will provide AUMA with strong leadership at a time when we are expanding into new markets and introducing a new generation of products. These products will be manufactured in AUMA’s Canonsburg facility. Our customers will benefit from quicker response time as we have invested heavily in modernizing and expanding our manufacturing facility to meet the increased demand for our products.”
Previously Thiel worked for other instrumentation companies in various roles including design engineer, product manager, manager of engineering solutions and regional sales manager. Most recently he was the vice president of a business unit where responsibilities included overseeing sales and marketing functions and strategic planning. He earned a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and is also a graduate of Carlow University with a Masters in Management and Technology and a Masters in Business Administration. He holds professional memberships with IEEE, NFPA, RETA, and ASHRAE. Thiel lives in Glenshaw, PA with his wife and two children.
