The U.S. Senate has approved the 2010 Defense Authorization Bill includes funding for several projects in Maine, including $4 million for Portland Valve for smart valve technology.
Maine's two senators, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, say in addition, the $679.8 billion bill will provide funding for projects at Bath Iron Works, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and the University of Maine.
