PG&E Corp. said Monday that it has fixed several gas pipeline leaks and is considering replacing 300 manual shut-off valves on its natural gas pipelines with valves that can be shut automatically or remotely, as part of a safety overhaul of its gas pipeline system following a deadly explosion last month.
A PG&E gas pipeline exploded Sept. 9 in San Bruno, Calif., killing eight people and damaging or destroying 55 homes.
