GE announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide Dresser Masoneilan LincolnLog and SteamForm modulating steam control valves and auxiliary systems to Southern Company’s Mississippi Power Integrated Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant in Kemper County, Miss.
Masoneilan bypass valves will facilitate the start-up, shut-down and trip cycles of the steam turbines as well as provide process steam to and from the gasifier and are necessary for the flexible operation of the plant in response to fluctuating power demand.
