Chevron Corporation has selected an engineering and construction firm for a new 3,500-barrel-per-day hydrocracker unit at a refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The vacuum resid slurry hydrocracker unit will utilize Chevron's proprietary technology to increase the yield of diesel, petrol and jet fuels from heavy and ultra-heavy crude oils.
