As the price of unleaded gasoline continues to nose-dive at the pump, the price of diesel fuel seems locked in time with prices that are up to a dollar a gallon more - and state oil industry experts say they know why the price disparity persists.

As global markets struggle to re-establish stability, the price of regular unleaded gasoline continues a decline that began in mid-July.
