China to Support Petrochem, Other Industries Hit by Crisis

News

China plans to offer a policy package in 2009 to revive nine industries hit hard by the economic slowdown, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing Industry and Information Technology minister Li Yizhong.

Receiving support are the light industry, textiles, steel, non-ferrous metals, automobile, petrochemical, shipbuilding, electronics and telecommunications sectors.
