The Public Service of New Hampshire has chosen the Washington Group as the program manager for the installation of a flue gas desulfurization scrubber unit at its largest coal-fired station in New Hampshire, the Merrimack Power Station.

The 458-megawatt bituminous coal plant is situated on the west bank of the Merrimack River.
