Sprinkle $1 million dollars here, $15 million there and $96 million over yonder on 64 sewer projects in Louisville, KY -- and it adds up to $843 million worth of construction over 16 years in neighborhoods across Jefferson County.

The first publicly detailed descriptions of the Metropolitan Sewer District's plan to comply with the federal Clean Water Act show projects ranging from a rain garden downtown to a tank northeast of downtown that can hold 24 Olympic-size swimming pools worth of water, keeping it from overwhelming the sewer system.
