Alaska Bullet Gas Line Expected To Cost $7 Billion to $8 Billion

An intrastate natural gas pipeline would cost between $7 billion to $8 billion to build if demand for North Slope gas can reach 500 million cubic feet per day, a consulting team said Thursday.

The line, a darling of many state lawmakers and business leaders, could deliver natural gas prices for a transportation costs — tariffs — of $8 or $9 per thousand cubic feet, the group reported.
