Trade Groups Applaud President’s Exports Initiative
Trade and manufacturing groups are offering strong support to President Obama’s call to double exports in five years to create 2 million jobs, but they also want to see substantive action taken.
In his State of the Union address on Jan. 27, the president called for a national export initiative to encourage small businesses and farmers to sell goods overseas. In addition, the administration would work to complete reform of antiquated export control laws.
