Kohl Among Senators Urging Full Funding For Manufacturing
A group of 50 U.S. senators, including Sen. Herb Kohl of Wisconsin, has requested that a federal appropriations bill include $131.8 million in funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
The partnership is a nationwide network of not-for-profit centers in nearly 400 locations in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, whose purpose is to provide small- and medium-sized manufacturers with help in implementing the most advanced manufacturing technologies and processes to make them more competitive globally.
