Sherwin A. Dandar from Garlock Sealing Technologies Named Kate Gleason Young Engineer of the Year

Sherwin Damdar, project leader for rubber expansion joints at Garlock Sealing Technologies, was awarded the Rochester Engineering Society’s 2011 Kate Gleason Young Engineer of the Year Award at a gala held April 28 in Rochester, NY.

The awards recognize young engineers for outstanding professional achievements and community service, and for activities that promote engineering excellence and leadership in the area.

Sherwin joined Garlock in 2007 after a stint at the Xerox Wilson Center for Research and Technology in Webster, NY. He holds a Masters of Engineering degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology as well as a Master of Arts in Theological Studies. Damdar also has eight patents pending.
