State lawmakers got an optimistic assessment of the state’s oil and gas reserves and the prospects of developing them during the House Resources Committee meeting Friday.

Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Dan Sullivan spent the afternoon sharing an overview and answering legislators’ questions about the state’s plans.
