Mueller Water Products, Inc. announced that it is commencing a public offering of 27,500,000 shares of its Series A common stock pursuant to a shelf registration on Form S-3 filed on June 9, 2009 with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to 4,125,000 additional shares of its Series A common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
