Valero Energy Selects Contractors for $200 Million Hydrogen Project at California Refinery

Valero Energy Corporation has selected contractors to construct a $200 million, 100-million-standard-cubic-feet-per-day hydrogen plant at the company's Benicia refinery in California. CB&I has been selected to perform engineering, procurement and fabrication services for the plant. Construction is expected to begin in early 2009 and with completion slated for early 2010.
