From there, the natural gas pipeline would travel underwater around Sandy Hook and through Raritan Bay. As proposed, the pipe would come onshore in Perth Amboy, stretching underneath the city and along the New Jersey Turnpike before stopping in Linden, providing gas to swaths of the Northeast.
