Available from Rotork Instruments, the Soldo Easy Switch hazardous area limit switchbox for manual valves is designed with minimal moving parts and magnetic switching technology for long-term reliability in the most demanding applications and hostile environments.
Available with a rugged polyster powder coated copper-free aluminum or 316L stainless steel housing, the Easy Switch design is adaptable to suit all manual valve types. Environmentally sealed to IP67 or IP68, the switchbox is ATEX and IECEx certified with optional SIL 2 approval.
The easy to mount magnetic target, featuring a durable glass reinforced magnetic holder, operates two magnetic sensors to provide precise electronic position feedback to the control room. A choice of hermetically sealed proximity switch options offer dependable performance for a wide range of power ratings at ambient temperatures ranging between -60°C and +105°C.

Spirax Sarco has released the BCV43 series blowdown control valves in line sizes ¾” and 1 ½”. This new range of BCV43 blowdown control valves are based on the SPIRA-TROL platform and are designed to maintain the TDS at an optimum level keeping blowdown to a minimum, thus maintaining a healthy steam and condensate system and conserve water and energy. The BCV43 blowdown control valves are suitable for a wide variety of applications where boilers are operated unsupervised for 24 to 72hr. periods.

ASCO Numatics has introduced its Numatics 501 Series directional control valve. The general purpose automation valve is designed for directional control and piloting applications requiring compact size, high flow capability, and energy savings.
The pressure shut-off option permits users to replace individual valves without stopping their production process — reducing line downtime and maintenance. The combination of the pressure regulator and the Numasizing® engineering tool can dramatically minimize air and energy consumption. The valve’s modular design also permits easy configuration and modification.
The new sub-base mounted valve is well suited for in-panel valve piloting applications. Its high flow rate, compact size, and optional mounting plate enable efficient use of cabinet space. A dual three-way version enables the placement of two, three-way valves in the space of a four-way valve.

Mobile App enables customers to calculate flow for a valve and locate a distributor
ASCO Numatics has introduced a mobile application for iPhone and Android Devices. The application, available by searching “ASCO Flow Calculator” within either the Apple App or Google Play store, allows the user to download at no charge. The app features the ASCO Flow Calculator, which enables customers to quickly calculate flow for a valve or determine the Cv needed to properly size a valve. The Fluid Guide provides reference information on the types of valves available for most common corrosive and non-corrosive gases and liquids.
