Nebraska Approves Keystone XL Pipeline Route

By a vote of 3-2, the Nebraska Public Service Commission approved an order giving TransCanada the go ahead to build the Keystone XL Pipeline utilizing the proposed Mainline Alternative Route. This is one of three proposed routes included in the application filed by TransCanada Keystone Pipeline. L.P. for the Keystone XL Pipeline through Nebraska. The decision follows a more than nine-month long legal process.

"As a result of today's decision, we will conduct a careful review of the Public Service Commission's ruling while assessing how the decision would impact the cost and schedule of the project," said TransCanada president and CEO Russ Girling.
