U.S. Manufacturers Using More Energy

Energy consumption by plants in the U.S. has risen steadily over the last decade after reaching a low point in 2010, the U.S. Energy Information Administration recently reported. Much of the gain has come from increased use of natural gas and hydrocarbon gas liquids, which now constitute more than half of what’s used. Meanwhile, electricity use has risen slightly and consumption of naphtha and fuel oil, coal, coke and breeze has declined. MORE
