Garlock Announces U.S. Availability for Redesigned‐Line of Butterfly Valves

Garlock butterfly valvesGarlock has recently made their original line of butterfly valves available in the U.S. The line includes four valve designs used with corrosive and abrasive media and a wide range of accessories. The Garlock family of companies created the original PTFE lined butterfly valve design, which has long been used for high-volume flow management and shut-off applications in the chemical and petrochemical processing industries, and in other markets where caustic, toxic and abrasive media must be controlled.

All four Garlock butterfly valves feature a new ultra-low fugitive emission design, compliant with ISO 15848-1 Leakage Rate A, as-well-as TA-Luft, and are certified as suitable for use in an SIL 3 environment.

The Garlock butterfly valve line is offered with a wide range of accessories, including standard handles, locking handles, gear operators and air actuators. Standard handles are available from 2” to 8”, locking handle assemblies are offered from 2” to 4”, and both gear operators and air actuators are offered in all dimensions.

Victaulic Introduces Series 725 Diverter Valve for Mine Backfill Piping Systems

Victaulic introduces the Series 725 Diverter Valve, the industry’s first grooved-end valve designed specifically for paste backfill lines. The valve improves the efficiency of backfill operations while providing durable, reliable service.

The Series 725 Diverter Valve eliminates the need to reposition fill lines, reducing handling and resulting in more efficient operations. Providing 180-degree service, the valve reduces the need for crews to manually redeploy backfill piping systems to other areas of the mine, saving time.

The Series 725 is available in a 6-inch (150 millimeter) size and withstands pressures of up to 1,000 psi (6,900 kPa). Designed with a standard ISO 5211 mounting flange, the valve can be provided with a gear operator or electric actuator for remote actuation.
