New Keystone Series GR Resilient Seated Butterfly Valves from Pentair

Pentair Keystone Global Resilient GRPentair Valves & Controls, has announced the launch of two new Keystone Global Resilient (GR) seated heavy-duty industrial valves aimed at general-purpose applications. Available in lug (GRL) and wafer (GRW) body styles, the new valves offer longer cycle life and a lower total cost-of-ownership through increased reliability and performance. Based on an upgraded global design, the new valves offer a host of benefits, including a proprietary Pentair polymer seat for increased pressure holding capabilities and decreased wear. The result is a higher performing, longer lasting and more reliable valve that delivers lower total-cost-of-ownership. Other advanced features include higher pressure ratings, blow out resistant shafts, for increased safety of field personnel. A ductile iron body as standard allows for a stronger body connection.

Built to ASME and ISO specifications, the new Keystone GRL and GRW valves’ single-piece body design is fully compliant with EN 593 and API 609 standards as well as Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EU) Module B1 + D and CE Marking. A wide range of approvals is already available, including KIWA, ABS, WRAS, NSF/ANSI STD 61.

ValvTechnologies, Inc. Adds New Feature to Valve Product Line

ValvTechnologies, Inc. has added bidirectional flow capabilities to its existing V1 valve product line. This is the first backpressure-resistant, metal-seated ball valve on the market.

The new V1 valve line feature prevents the load spring from collapsing, providing tight shutoff or zero leakage in the preferred direction after a reverse flow condition. Most power plant ball valves are unidirectional which makes the valves vulnerable to failure when they are exposed to back pressure. The bidirectional flow capabilities protect against damage to the internal components and load spring when the valve is exposed to back pressure.
