End users, distributors, EPC/AEC personnel, valve makers and a host of other flow control professionals will gather June 20-21, 2017 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX for the biennial Valve World Americas Expo & Conference. The conference attracts attendees from across the United States, Canada, Mexico and other parts of the world. But no matter where they are located, they have this in common: to learn and exchange information about valves and related equipment and to see the products at the Expo.
The exhibition hall features more than 250 companies—many of whom are members of VMA—that come to showcase their newest products and services. Experienced technical and sales staff are on hand to answer attendee questions and provide information on what’s available.
Among them is the Valve Manufacturers Association, which will shine light for attendees on the major role the association plays in the valve industry and the benefits of being a member of either VMA or its affiliate, the Valve Repair Council. Attendees can pick up copies of VALVE Magazine, sign up for a free subscription and learn about VMA’s education programs, including the Valve Basics Seminar & Exhibits, Oct. 3-5 in Houston, and the new custom valve training program. Many of the other exhibitors are VMA members.
The conference program for Valve World Americas includes sessions from experts on topics that affect the valve industry including the future of shale gas, the outlook for the energy industry, the latest in technology, the challenges in special industries such as cryogenics and much more.
Workshops at the conference and in the exhibition hall go into detail on areas such as valve design, maintenance and repair, valve testing, asset management, casting and materials, and other specialty topics. The expo also has a Speakers’ Corner where attendees can participate in interactive seminars.
Visitors are invited to stop by booth #750 to chat with VMA and VALVE Magazine staff and to seek out exhibitors at the event that are displaying the VMA logo—a sign they are members of VMA.
