Todd is publisher of Products Finishing, Products Finishing Mexico and the VALVE Magazine brands, overseeing advertising sales and collaborating with each brand’s editorial teams on topics and content for multiple media platforms, including a print magazine along with all their digital channels, including both brand websites. Todd supervises each brand professional staff of editors, columnists and contributors and is responsible for the day-to-day business operation of the brand with the goal of maintaining our standards of excellent content for the surface technology sector and valve manufacturers. He also works extensively with industry trade organizations to articulate each brand’s value and vision and is responsible for developing and carrying out the brand’s long-term strategic plan.
Heather Gaynor is the editor of Valve Magazine, and director of custom content for Gardner Business Media. She has worked in industrial editorial, marketing and communications for three decades, including nearly six years with fluid controls manufacturer, Swagelok Company. She holds a B.A. in communications from The University of Akron, and an MBA from Cleveland State University.

Bill graduated with a B.A. in marketing and a minor in decision sciences from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. He recently marked 30 years with Gardner Business Media working as Advertising and Production Director. His wife Patty also works for Gardner Business Media.
Heather Rhoderick, CAE, CMP, joined the Valve Manufacturers Association (VMA) as president in November 2019. In this role, she is responsible for the overall leadership and management of VMA, including government affairs, events and education, technical issues, member relations and engagement, financial oversight and communications.
She joined VMA with 24 years of experience in trade association management and operations, most recently at the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) where she was senior vice president, Events and Information. During Heather’s time at the ACMA, she helped develop organization-wide strategies with a focus on fiscally responsible growth and launched and led CAMX, a trade show owned by two associations.
Heather previously also held member services, marketing, education and trade show management positions at the Newspaper Association of America and issue management and membership program positions at the American Chemistry Council.
She has an MBA from Virginia Tech and a BA in Political Science from the University of Delaware and is also a Certified Association Executive and a Certified Meeting Professional and has served on advisory boards for the City of Dallas and the American Society of Association Executives.
Greg is the current chair of the VALVE Magazine Advisory Board, founder of VMA’s Valve Basics program and previously served as chair of the Education & Training Committee. He is also a member of VMA’s Communications Committee. A frequent contributor to VALVE Magazine, Johnson writes on a wide variety of topics, including maintenance and repair, quality issues and standards. He was awarded VMA’s Person of the Year award in 2017—the association’s highest designation—for his extensive volunteer work on behalf of the industry. He is member of the Valve Repair Council Board of Directors and previously served at the VRC’s chair. Johnson has been extensively involved in the API Piping Subcommittee, ISO valve standards activities and chairs the MSS Committee 310, Valve Modification. He is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Bowers has a long career working for leading valve companies in both sales and marketing and the nuclear market. Prior to his current position at Conval, Bowers was with Weir Flow Control (now Trillium Flow Technololgies), Velan Valve and Crane Valves. He has been a long-time member of the VALVE Advisory Board (previously the Editorial Review Board). Bowers is a graduate of The College of William & Mary.
Maria is an APEGA professional mechanical engineer with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, a master’s degree in environmental engineering, and she is a certified professional mechanical engineer. She is the author and presenter of the Valves course in the Management and Sanitation of the Water Industry program at the Institute for Advanced Management Studies. Maria has over 13 years of expertise in the selection and design of valve automation solutions and over seven years of experience managing work teams of application and design engineers. As part of her current role, Maria manages the product development and technical material produced for marketing on behalf of Cowan Dynamics.
Jean has worked in the Marketing department for DeZURIK for a total of 25 years. DeZURIK brands include APCO, Willamette, Hilton, Red Valve, Tideflex and RKL Controls. Jean earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications/Journalism and Biological Sciences. In addition to working in the valve industry, she also spent 17 years in marketing, national accounts and supply chain management in the medical products industry.
