New Methane Meter Captures Levels 4 and 5 Emissions
Bridger Photonics has expanded its capabilities to meet OGMP 2.0 framework.
Bridger Photonics (Bridger), a manufacturer of instruments in methane emissions data, today announced expanded capabilities that enable both source-level (Level 4) and site-level (Level 5) methane measurement under the OGMP 2.0 framework.
These new capabilities empower operators to use Bridger’s Gas Mapping LiDAR (GML) to inform both source-level and site-level measurements, supporting comprehensive, measurement-based methane inventories required by OGMP 2.0 Gold Standard. These new capabilities offer advanced methane reporting and help operators accelerate progress toward Gold Standard alignment.
The Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) 2.0, led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), sets the global framework for methane emissions reporting based on measurement and reconciliation. Achieving OGMP’s Gold Standard reflects the industry’s highest level of excellence for measurement-based methane inventories.
By combining top-down and bottom-up measurements, Bridger enables operators to reconcile inventories efficiently, reduce uncertainty, and transform compliance into meaningful emissions reductions.
