Encouraged by a strong start to 2024 and the completion of the company’s first project in California, Houston-based Frederick is predicting the U.S. market will provide plentiful opportunities for STATS’ pipeline isolation technologies, hot-tapping capabilities and patented line-stopping solutions.

Previously senior vice president of Ace Field Services, Mr. Frederick said: “STATS is a global company with unrivaled technology and the opportunity to lead its long-established U.S. business into new and exciting markets was a compelling proposition.

“The company has exciting plans to significantly scale up its presence in the U.S. and to capitalize on its track record of successful project completions in the Gulf of Mexico and Trinidad,” Frederick continued.

“I firmly believe STATS has only scratched the surface in terms of market opportunities and as we roll out our services and expertise over a wider geographic area, I am confident we can achieve considerable growth over the next three years while creating both jobs and career opportunities.

“We’ve enjoyed a roaring start to 2024, boosted by the completion of our first work scope in California – where we recently added a business development manager – and I am looking to replicate that success by extending STATS’ presence across the lower 48 states, initially in energy-producing basins, the east coast, and in the southeast,” said Frederick.

Established in 1998 in Aberdeen, Scotland, STATS Group provides specialist engineering services for the maintenance and repair of oil, gas and petrochemical installations and infrastructure.

In the last decade, STATS has delivered significant isolation projects involving deploying its technology for major US midstream operators as well as offshore clients in the Gulf of Mexico and Latin America.

STATS Group Regional Director, North America, Stephen Rawlinson, added: “The United States is a key market in our international growth strategy and one which we believe offers myriad opportunities to support our clients, reduce emissions during pipeline maintenance and transition to cleaner energies.

“Jamie Frederick’s previous energy sector experience and extensive market knowledge adds to the quality of our existing team and under his leadership we are focused on extending our reach and growing revenues in the US.

“As governments around the world tighten up regulatory standards and heighten expectations on carbon reduction measures, STATS Group is well positioned to help operators and contractors meet those challenges head-on,” Rawlinson concluded.
