VDMA Elects New Chairman of Building Valves Division

At the beginning of August 2024, the board of the Building Valves division in the VDMA unanimously elected Lubert Winnecken, CEO of KEUCO GmbH & Co.

At the beginning of August 2024, the board of the Building Valves division in the VDMA unanimously elected Lubert Winnecken, CEO of KEUCO GmbH & Co. KG, as the new chairman. He will also take over the role of deputy chairman of the VDMA Building Valves Association. Lubert Winnecken succeeds Stefan Gesing, formerly CEO of VDMA member company Dornbracht AG & Co. KG. Gesing left the Board of the Building Valves Association at the beginning of July 2024.

“I would like to thank our former chairman, Stefan Gesing, for his special commitment to our industry, “Winnecken said. “Under his leadership, the VDMA Building Valves division has continued to develop positively, even in economically challenging times, and has provided important impetus for the industry. The building valves industry is a diverse sector and plays a central role in modern building technology. Together, we want to work on innovative solutions for the industry in the coming years, pool synergies and actively shape the future of our industry.”

VDMA also announced a new board member, Marc Dobro. “As the managing director of one of the leading brands in the sanitary industry, it is very important to me to actively support a strong sanitary industry,” explains Marc Dobro, managing director of Grohe Deutschland Vertriebs GmbH. Dobro said he is looking forward to working with fellow VDMA members and board to further emphasize the needs and interests of the valve industry with legislators.

Dr. Laura Dorfer, Managing Director of VDMA Valves, is also delighted: “It is great that we have been able to gain an experienced and visionary chairman in Lubert Winnecken, who will champion the interests of building valves. With the additional strengthening of our board by Marc Dobro, we are now ideally positioned to successfully master the numerous challenges of the present and the future.”
