Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear division announced today that its Brea, Calif. facility has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system (QMS). This globally recognized certification allows the company to provide valves, vessels, actuators, control systems and engineering services for use in construction of next-generation Advanced Reactor (AR) and Small Module Reactor (SMR) designs, as well as currently operating domestic and international reactors.

“Curtiss-Wright is steadfast in our mission to support the future of nuclear power, and we recognize its critical role in achieving a carbon-free energy landscape,” said Kurt Mitchell, vice president and general amnager of Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear and Valves divisions. “This ISO certification exemplifies our commitment to quality and our ability to fulfill the stringent requirements of the next generation of nuclear reactors.”

Curtiss-Wright has been engaged with AR and SMR developers for over a decade, providing support in several critical applications including reactivity and shutdown systems, fuel handling systems, and primary system valves.
