Garlock Sealing Technologies Tapped for Energy Efficiency Projects in New York
The Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council in last week announced that Garlock Sealing Technologies, LLC. (GST) has been awarded more than $936,000 through Gov.
These projects are expected to reduce the company’s energy use by an estimated 692,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) and almost 57,000 million British Thermal Units (MMBtu) annually. The kWh reduction is the equivalent of saving enough electricity to power 100 average-sized homes for a year. The MMBtu reduction is the equivalent of saving enough natural gas to heat 800 average-sized homes for a year.
Last year, a total of $785 million was awarded through the CFA for job creation and community development projects consistent with each region’s strategic plans. As part of that process, Garlock was awarded more than $936,000 through NYSERDA’s Industrial and Process Efficiency program.
