It’s the largest regional investment in the commonwealth in more than 25 years.

Georgia-based corrugated packaging company Pratt Industries Inc. has broken ground on a new $500 million paper mill and box factory in Henderson, KY.
The project will include two facilities: a 500,000-sq.-ft box factory and a 650,000-sq.-ft paper mill. The box factory will produce corrugated sheet and boxes, including pizza boxes and packaging for major distributors and big box stores. The mill will provide 100% recycled paper to the box factory.
The paper mill is part of the first phase of the project, according to a July report from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA), and the box factory is part of the second phase. Pratt officials estimate that the full project will create about 700 construction jobs. Click here for full article.
