With impacts that weigh heavily on manufacturing and VMA’s end use markets, the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will bring monumental change and opportunities. In a press release from the Biden administration, this sweeping deal will rebuild America’s roads, bridges and rails, expand access to clean drinking water, ensure access to high-speed internet, address the climate crisis and invest in overlooked communities. The legislation will also help ease inflationary pressures and strengthen supply chains by making long overdue improvements for our nation’s ports, airports, rail and roads. It will drive the creation of good-paying union jobs and grow the economy equitably, adding on average 1.5 million jobs per year for the next 10 years. Full details and the fact sheet are available here.

Key programs in the infrastructure deal and a breakdown of the funding are detailed here.
