This two-piece, end-entry valve features a floating ball for lower torque requirements.
In addition to providing easier, faster and safer installation than flanged and butt-weld valves, it can tolerate pressures of up to 8,200 kPa (1,200 psi). Connected by the Victaulic Style 489DX rigid coupling, which is comprised of only 2 bolts to create a secure joint, field installation is very efficient for both high-pressure and low-pressure applications.

The Rationale Behind Valve Characteristics
Back in the “early days,” we were taught that, to properly control flow, we should select a linear valve characteristic when the valve controls more than 25% of the piping system pressure drop at full flow.
