Hy Store Energy’s first step in its plan to develop and scale U.S. hydrogen will be the Mississippi Clean Hydrogen Hub, a network of production and storage sites in the southern part of the state that the company said will produce about 110 million kilograms of green hydrogen per year. In a release by Thomas Insights, the company says the scale would make it ten times larger than any other green hydrogen operation under consideration in the country.
The company said the project’s development and commercial phases will create hundreds of new jobs and entice industrial firms to the region. Initial commercial service expected to begin in 2025, pending regulatory approval.
