ifm’s MVQ positioner is used to move valves to the required position, based on a signal from the control level indicating the degree to which the valve is open in percentages. Based on the MVQ sensor and supplemented by a new control unit, the connected solenoid valve is moved to the required position using supply and exhaust air. It has a self-learning algorithm to continuously monitor, improve and expand the performance of the positioner over time. The positioner comes as a set including the MVQ301 sensor and control unit, a pneumatic solenoid valve, a throttle plate and a Y cable, and can be installed directly on the NAMUR interface of an actuator. ifm.com
